Hi, all

I do I go about disabling ads for my own IP address?

What will that do? I want to see the ads on my site, but I don't want the ads recording any statistics for my computer's IP address. Please share something alternative I could do that would not get me into trouble with Google.

Editing your hosts file will block the AdSense ads. You won't see them because your hosts file will stop your computer connecting to Google's ad serving IP.

As far as I know, there is no way to display AdSense ads, and make them "unclickable".

I've stopped using the hosts file, and simply use AdBlock Plus in Firefox. When I want to check/tweak my ad placement, I disable AdBlock Plus, turn my headphones down, take the phone off the hook, and pay attention to what I'm clicking (or not clicking). As soon as I'm done, AdBlock gets enabled again.

@ Kirk, that's my site you linked to... I knew I joined WF for a reason *FIRST POST*
