Adword not making any sense , can anyone help?

I havent used adwords in years but i decided to give it a try because i got a free ad credit of 100 bucks.

Here's my beef , I am selling a guitar related DVD set , its a one page site with a an embedded video , the meta tags , heading , description , and everything else is relevant to my keyword terms.

However... And heres where I am totally lost...... All of my keywords are not triggering ads and in fact are ranked with a quality score of one , and also , it say my landing page quality score is poor.

My ad mentions the main keyword no less than three times , the keyword is in my domain name , and the description of what I am sellling is also relevant.

No affilliate links , no pop ups , no banners , all I have on there is a paypal button and a video clip other than the relvavant content.

I am only guessing but here is the only problem I can see , it is a new adwords account with no previous clicks which of course hurts the score , secondly , I am using a subdomain with the main keyword in front , other than that , everything is completely relevant , spam free , and optimized , but google still basically tells me that I suck.

And here is another weird thing , I did a search for my main keyword and the ads that popped up that they considered relevant were nothing more than sites with ads at the top for you to click and leave , where as my site is completey relevant to the search keywords and actually has content on it.

And finally , when I use the google tool and place my site in the box for google themselves to tell me what keywords to use , it comes back with absolutely nothing.

I am really at a loss on this one , I thought google was about relevance , and bare in mind , I am paying for the ads , not expecting any free traffic.

As I said I have been out of the loop with adwords for a while but the last time I used it , I don't remember having so many problems just trying to get some ads running!

And on top of all of this , my keywords really arent that competive as it is a specialized item , so any advice on this one would really be appreciated.

Could it be that there is no privacy policy or contact info , I did forget to ad that part , but other than that , I am totally lost on this one , thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Your website does not meet the quality requirements of Google Addwords and hence there will be no ads displayed. You must have received email from Google on this. Can you tell us what are the contents of that email.

No, it's not becuase it is a new account.

How much text to you have on the page?
A video and only a little text isn't enough.

You are going to have to add a privacy policy and a contact us page. Low quality score can be an issue with new campaigns even when everything looks right. Get your bids up to a level where they are going to receive a decent clicks so that google can see you are receiving a good click through rate. I know it's not ideal but it happens sometimes when you have absolutely no history. I restructured a campaign a little while ago that was targeting individual hotels (each hotel had its own ad group and landing page). The previous campaign had been running for years, very high spend, good quality score etc. The new campaign (similar / same keywords, but brand new ad groups) all started with quality scores of around 3!! I upped the bids, started to gather a bit of traffic (paying a bit too much), that soon gave Google enough info to start increasing quality scores. You can ride it out at the low quality scores and they will eventually improve but it might take a while. I have found this a pain in the ass lately but you just have to find a way around it. They make the rules & we have to follow them unfortunately!
