If they haven't been indexed by Google at all, I suppose you could index them.. but they won't have much link juice since they're so new.

I suggest ping it if it's a blog entry, otherwise just wait it out.

sometimes, pinging a blog entry or page won't help. i've learnt that if google doesn't want to index something, it won't - no matter how hard you try.

typically i find articles with less than 400 words struggle to get indexed if a) it has been syndicated many times b) it is on a low quality site.

to aid this i write long articles and post them to decent websites.

      Hi maurytattoo

what kind of back links are we talking about?

Social bookmarking and profile link's often don't get indexed.

If you're talking about back links in articles the articles should be unique.

There are many ways to get the search engines to pay attention to your back links yes pinging them get them notice but not indexed unless there is some unique content there something worth indexing.

If it is just a profile link many times they must be boosted so that search engines pay attention to them. there are many ways to boost your back links let me know if you need more information.

i dont think ping would help much with google.

indexing on the other hand is the best approach. it helps with SERP ranking as well as indexing both.

There is a difference between INDEXING and SPIDERING.

Pages need to be indexed. Links just need to be found.

I usually only send them to digg.com and it works fine for me. I'll also hire someone from Fiverr.com to digg them too.

Pinging doesn't really work. Why does it matter though? Let google find it naturally.

I usually use social bookmarking sites to promote my page, Its effective for fast indexing than waiting for google.
