Hi all,

I have been hearing/reading more and more reports that the search engines have updated their software to recognise automated backlinking ie,mass backlinking from software such as scrapebox or senuke etc thus rendering the created links as near useless.

I must admit I have noticed of late that my previous "work" seems to have been far more effective than it is today - according to seo spyglass as well as the serps anyway. Despite copious amounts of linking I cant shift any of my sites any higher. And yes the sites are all optimised correctly etc.

I know, you cant beat good old fashioned manual linking to relevant high pr sites etc etc. But time is money for some of us.I wondered if anyone else is noticing this too?
If this is the case then its a game changer for some of us.

I am new at this. I have been reading a lots of thread here to actually know how can I promote my NY based real estate firm. What i got so far is, search engines indeed takes actions against software made links. it prefers manual links.

      It wouldn't surprise me.

Google have always been very good at detecting spam, if you use Gmail you probably already know this.

They've always discounted certain types of backlinks, but now it seems they're adding more and more to the list.

Sites aren't given a penalty otherwise a competitor could harm you, the backlinks are simply discounted.

Thing is people always say "Im doing everything right but its not working for me" and then blame google slapping down their links/site for some reason.

Every single person who has signed-up for my mentor helpdesk and who has asked for me to look at a sites strategy invariably, invariably, has missed key onpage elements.

    Look over your sites again.

      Thanks Jazbo,
but I'm not "blaming Google" - I use software to create automated backlinks!

The point I am making is that there are no - or very few- new links being created according to seospyglass which ties in with what I have been reading of late and wondered if anyone else had a slant on this. I have also analysed these sites prior to posting and have confirmed they are "sticky".

In addition I will also add that I'm using the same steps and methods as I always do and prior to this have managed to rank sites with great success.

it will always be a tennis match with the search engines ever tweeking their algorithms so all I/we can do is adapt, improvise and overcome!

Hi all cant start new topic as my post count is less than 20? Sorry but my question is sort of pertinent anyway:
Does anyone know of software for account creation ie -it should sign up at selected sites of MY input. It may or may not have email verification.
Im thinking along the lines of having to manually sign up for 20 different video sites or other. Is ther a way of automating this process? (senuke does certain sites but not relevant to the ones I'm looking to use!)
        thanks for any input

I think that you nailed it when you said "near useless". Automatic backlinking can still work, it just takes a little more effort and a little more creativity.

The bigger question is whether or not the increased amount of effort needed still makes automated links a better time investment than manual linkbuilding.
