I know there was talk a few months ago about how G wasnt reporting accurate subscriptions, but has that been fixed.

I have a new site that hasnt been picked up by Google yet, but it is #1 for my keyword in Yahoo for a term that supposedly has a volume of 18k searches/month. Google Analytics/Wordpress stats are stating I have been getting 0 visitors each day.

What gives? Something seems fishy...

Google adword tool is only for Google searches not yahoo searches

Google gets over 75% of the market, whereas yahoo has maybe 15% of the market so the searches will anyway be much less

I understand how the google tool works I was just stating that if its ranking #1 yahoo (with 15% share) then I should at LEAST be getting 5/hits a day

Im just curious if there is some kind of disconnect with Google Analytics/Keyword tool

You could help Google in indexing your site by submitting your site to active niche directories or using a tool like Website Indexer.

      Raviv,
Yea, there isnt much content on the site right now except a home page and a few articles...Its still extremely new so once I start updating I expect google to pick it up quickly. I also plan on doing a couple of DPB's and hopefully start getting some traffic

I think Yahoo is getting less used, and also is the keyword an exact match? that can make a large difference in the amount of actual searches

Keyword is an exact match, domain name is 2-word keyword and everything. Not sure why Google hasnt picked up on it yet but its doing so well in Yahoo/Bing.

The good news is that when you start to rank in Google, you won't have to worry about spending any time in yahoo or Bing.
