How many keywords can I optimize for at the same time?

I'm currently optimizing my website for the keywords "Content Writing India" and "Content Writing India". Is it ok to optimize for two keywords simultaneously? Also, how many keywords can I optimize for simultaneously, as in the upper limit?

    Look strangely similar to one another.

    But if those were two different keyword phrases then you could indeed optimize for both of them at the same time. Ideally you would have one page setup for one keyword phrase and the other for the other.

    How much time do you have?

    You can optimize for as many keywords as you like simultaneously as long as you have enough time to do so. Better strategy is to pick 3 - 5 keywords that you want to target and reach your goal with them. Once that has been accomplished you could choose new keywords to optimize for as you build your keyword phrase domination.

    Per page I would only focus on one keyword at a time and certainly no more than 3, but sticking to one is a really good idea.
