How to sell links on my website?

Hi guys,

I need some advice.

I have a PR3 website, however it has 2 flaws:

1. It's from Romania - it has 3 letters in the domain, so it's something like this http://LLL.ro
2. I have no content on it. However it's been PR3 for over 1 year now without having anything on the front page.

Advantages:
1. It's bought for life so I can offer permanent links for life
2. It usually boosts the ranks of all sites I've placed there and Google seems to like my site

How and where do you advise me to sell links on my website? How should I make the offer? What price should I offer?

I greatly appreciate any advice from warriors with experience in this domain!

Thanks,
Traian

so you think that the cost of placing the ads will be significantly less than what I could obtain for placing the links?

Putting Adsense on the site won't cost you anything- but I wouldn't expect people to stay on your site for long without any content on it. Maybe you'll get a few clicks- what kind of traffic do you get/ month and do you have Analytics on it or anything like that?

Oh.. I understand what you guys meant with paid ads.. That's not an option. I don't get any kind of traffic to the website.

The only use for another website by getting the link would be for a PR boost..

You can offer it to the interested at various forums which allow such threads. you must also consider ad networks like adsense and adbrite. You can also go for the infolinks.

Can you please give me examples of such forums? What are infolinks?

      Thanks!

I've had good luck with TextLinkAds on a couple of my sites. My PR3 sites gets me $15-20 a month per link. They're pretty well targeted though and the links are all in the same niche.

I thought about selling a link for 7$ to be posted permanently.. But I don't know where to find people who might be interested in this offer in order to boost the PR of their websites..

Among the (potential) problems with this - not that they stop people from doing it, of course - are the facts that ...

      (i) Google frowns on and will discount any "paid for" backlinks (I don't suggest they'd necessarily know), and ...

(ii) the link-juice value to a customer is inversely proportional (albeit not linearly) to the number of links on the page: if I see someone selling backlinks for $7, my own initial assumption would be that they'd sell hundreds of them (if they can) and that each one would therefore turn out to be almost worthless.

      I'm "just saying".

    Thanks Alexa,

I thought I could put something like "only 7 spots available"..

I just want to make around 50$ to buy a WSO and I thought this might be a good way by exploiting a website I had neglected

Yes, I see people doing this ... you might well be able to.

Might it even be worth looking at fiverr.com as an outlet for this service? You'd get only $4 each for them, that way, but might attract more people? If trying that, I'd suggest that the way to do it might be to make it very clear that the backlinks offered are actually on a PR-3 page, not just "on a PR-3 site" (i.e. on a PR-0 page of a site whose home-page happens to be PR-3, which isn't really worth anything much at all).

Before selling links you need to add lot of stuff to your main page then only buyers prefer to place link in your site .page rank is not that matter you need to update your site in the timely basis.

Yep, add good quality content to boost the value considerably. Outsource the writing if you don't want to do it yourself. Be consistent. Building value takes both work and time, unfortunately.

I would NOT place AdSense on such a site; you're bound to get in trouble with Google since you're running against their TOS saying that ads can be placed only on relevant sites not MFA.

GoDaddy has a nice domain parking program and you can park there also domains bought through other registrars.

I've resorted to placing an announce on Digital Point Forums and on Fiverr. And I've already made 2 purchases at 5$ so I'm going to give 10 spots and hope they will sell out soon.

I was hoping that I would find a better solution, but I guess this is fine as well..

I know that, but what I was asking is how to get my offer out there?..
