Do links from image files count as backlinks? Or does it have to be a text link?

Do links form image files carry any juice?

While counting your inbound backlinks, your image backlinks will also be counted. Use your targeted keyword in alt tags and you will get some benefit at least.

On-page SEO is great and can help you rank really high in comparison to your competitor.

    Hi SG,

As long as the link doesn't have the nofollow tag, yes that will have some SEO benefit. It won't have the same value as a plain anchor text but you can properly word the alt tag, title and description to make it relevant.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you.

Yes it counts, and your 'anchor text' is an image, but the image name may do some magic to your SEO.
