would you say manually making 30/40 profile links a day plus other blog links, directories, articles etc is overkill on a new site?I dont want the sandbox effect but I want to get into google first page quickly, how many would you say I go for?they are all high quality links

You forgot to mention how old is your website... That`s an important factor... If your website is less then a couple of months old then doing 40 high quality profiles + blog links, directories, articles etc then you must figured out the answer by yourself.

My suggestion for you is to build backlinks among with content. This way, Google will find your backlinks sustained by fresh new content and rank you higher.

Its also important to analyze how often do Google Crawls your website....

Just my 2 cents and i hope i could help you out ^^

    Have a great day !

If you wish to build an authority website in your niche then yes you have the answer... Build some clusters and try different techniques on them ... It`s a bit time and money consuming but take a look on the bright side :

You`ll understand what works and how works and then you can scale up ^^

At least that`s what i did and now i have some great success with my mini niche websites which i ranked first 2-3 spots on google for my keywords for most of them.

I basically take away all the traffic from this searches ^^

Don`t think that i bank out well cuz i`m not into this things with building websites ... i prefer to have them established then flipp ... But if you want to win this game badly then this are the steps to internet marketing.

      Good luck, my friend !

        Allsystems,

If you are going to build an authority site then it will really take time. Trying to build to quickly and wanting results fast will be detrimental to your site.

If you have a new site (like you said) then you're right. Manually making 30-40 links a day is an overkill. if your site has at least 40+ pages then it is understandable to do this, but since your site is new then it doesnt make sense. Dont over-optimize cause it is like over training in a gym - it will injure you rather than help you. You dont want to injure your site, do you?

        All the best,
        Jon

you are right my friend,i dont want to overkill it,to be honest earlier today i made some changes on my site and now the onpage seo is 69% compared with competitors but i wil leave it,Yeh I need to add more to the site which I will do tommrowo. I can make it over 70 pages if I wish. Also this is a sales site, not a niche, informative site. I sell products on my site. I think I will build the backlinks slow but over many days and concentrate on indexing them, after 2/3months solid backlinks I will add some more info,in that time I can collect all my competitor backlinks and optimize them also, many thanks for the input mate

            Allsystems,

69% on page optimization? That is really low, but if you're fixing it then that's okay. However, dont leave it with a low percentage of on-page optimization cause that will slow down your site to be ranked in the SEs (IMHO).

Since you sell products on your site then Id assume that is an ecommerce website. It is understandable to have a lot of pages cause it will be determined by the volume of different products you sell on your site. Have the individual pages indexed and then build 2-3 links per day per page that have been indexed. After 4-6 weeks crank out the linkbuilding on that baby!

            All the best,

I normally start with 30 articles in EZA, that forms a base, plus then hit some directories and see what happens, most of the time the site bounch quickly. I really dont think ther are any penatlys or sand box (unless you buld a 1000 of the same type of link is a day- suspicious......)

A new site of min started with 2500 directory submissions- and ranks for the term i wanted......

For me I prefer to have few links that are of good quality than many links that are junks. It can only kill your site.

I read the title to this thread... That's all.

The answer is you can't build links too quickly... That's a myth the "Oh no! I have a new site and 4k backlinks the first week it went live!! Google will get me!"

Wrong. Not true. Myth has been debunked... Let's see now... A Zillion times??! No, NO... A Googol times!

Building many backlnks will not harm new sites because it will not get indexed simultaneously.
