Traffic Jump When you hit Page 1?

Right now I'm on page 2-4 on several keywords that average about 5000, highest around 12000 a month. Generally, how much of a traffic boost do people see once they finally hit page 1? Percentage?

Technically speaking you should be getting around 2% of the traffic for the keyword in the bottom couple spaces, but how much organic traffic you get is going to vary every time depending on how much traffic you get from other random long-tail keywords. You could end up with a lot more traffic from keywords you didn't even intend to optimize for.

Approx 11% of searchers will click the links on page 2-4...

Then on page one 3% of searchers will click a link at 10, 3% on position 9, then 12% on number 2 and 42% of all searchers click on the page at number 1 in Google... Therefore for a particular keyword you could potentially see a 14 times increase in traffic from position number 10 to number 1!!

Going from page 2-3 to page one you will see up to 3 times more traffic

Personally I doubt even 11% of searches will go beyond page one... I really really doubt that. I bet you its more like 3%!

Its all about page one buddy! This is why people pay so much for SEO...to get on that first page.

Percentage is very high. Even at position 10, you get a serious number of views while from page 2 onwards the views are close to zero.

Try to get one of the more searched keywords among your serveral that are on the second page onto the first page, and you shall get a first hand experience.
