I have two domains, 2 keys im trying to rank for. I'm on page 1, rank 9 but im not happy. USA Local search shows 22,000 searches, whereas the other shows 14,000 local searches.

I'm about $1500 in on services spent on the forum. I feel i optimized my page to the fullest (compared top 3, and did what they did but without copying as far as on page seo).

Any idea's on the extra boost?

I dont have any youtube videos on my site, or youtube accounts - was wondering if that helps? Any professional advice would be recommended.

If you wanted to PM me your site I could take a look at it for you. Really without doing a major indepth analysis, I can only give you general advice.

    Continue to build backlinks.

How much are you paying in software services?

Also do you really have much of a consistent link building program in place at all? There are many factors that are going to affect this - your rankings that is.

Yeah I agree with matt...hard to really know without seeing the actual setup you have. One thing that could work is getting some high PR links, that usually helps a site get unstuck from a position on page one.

If your competitors are trying to rank in the SERPs for your keyphrase, you're going to have a very difficult time dislodging them, no matter what sort of on-page and on-site stuff you do.

They've been around longer than you have, and they've built up trust in the eyes of the search engines.

On the other hand, if they're ranking just because Google couldn't find a better page, then you have a good chance of unseating them.

If it's the latter case, just give it time and build some anchor-texted backlinks.

If it's the former case, you have to build high-quality backlinks which will take effort and money.

Don't spend $1500 dollars of your hard-earned money, just buy a good SEO book and study it.

Without knowing the keyword/your website it's hard to give any advice, just keep on pushing out backlinks, try to build as many as possiblem, target some other keywords as well on your website, so you'll be trying to rank for a number of other keywords as well, that'll give your website a boost.
