Since .co domains are now recognized as a global domain, would it be better than a .com, net, or org? Would it help you rank better in other countries since it is global? Anyone have experience with this?

I don't see many (if any at all) in search results, so I'd just stick with what works. I remember .us, .cc, and .info being hyped up at points, and neither of those panned out. I'd assume the same with these .co domains until proven otherwise. I also think exact match domains are losing some weight, giving you all the more reason to go with an established extension.

Yeah I think .co is just another way for domainers to cash in. Stick with the TLD's

Until 6-8 months ago, .co was a Country domain for Columubia. Since then, Bob Parsons and the GoDaddy girls have been trying to peddle .co as the next big thing. At $29.95 for that, I'll pass until I see the .co's dominating the SERPS.

Name.com has a funny add about that spoofing superbowl commercial.
    ".co is just like .com"
search you tube for " name.com spoofs godaddy super bowl add"

I'm sorry to disagree, but though .co domains are still new, they can challenge a .com anytime. The only difference between them in Google's eyes is the content and backlinks. Obviously most .co domains, being only 6 months old, still have much less backlinks than old .coms, that's why so far you've seen many .coms outrank equivalent .cos. Anyway, in some cases you can already see the opposite situation, with co in a higher position. For example, search for BMR. Another example is the popular singer Charlotte Church (in this case .com and .net aren't even present, .org is on second page).

It looks like there's a billboard promoting .CO in Times Square.
