For this blog do these things, First thing is that social media provides a facility to add content to itself. You can perform different tasks and can add different content like social news, questions, polls creation, sharing images and videos, user rating, community creation, page and blog creation, RRS feeds, sharing buttons and many more.

Just so you know, just because you have 4 different anchors on your link, doesn't mean you're getting more than one back link on your posts.

A few questions that I think will help clarify your goals and help to provide the right answer:
    • Where do you want customers? i.e. local to your area, national or international? Obviously there are places to list your blog all over the world, you should narrow down where your target customers are going to be, or if you just want traffic from anywhere in the world then that is a valid answer as well, but I have to know that information before I can give you solid recommendations.
    • What is your goal in listing your site? Is it to immediately reach customers and to drive buying customers to your site, or is it to get a high search engine ranking? Because these are completely different types of sites.
    • Social Media, websites: Do you have a Facebook account setup so that you can provide some credibility for your brand? If so, is it connected to Twitter? Do you have a ping.fm account linking to FB and Twitter (which will provide you some ranking power beyond listing somewhere)?
    • What is your budget, or is your goal only free directories? Are you wanting just free directories or do you have a budget to list in paid directories (of which there are many good ones)? Its OK to not have money for promoting a new site, but clarifying this would help narrow some options down for you.
    • Your non-SEO areas of expertise: There are many business directories that are niche oriented. Rather than try to reach every business in the world, are there niches that you are more comfortable with, where you would have a natural ease in communicating with the business owner or in understanding the site and keywords? For example, not everyone could do SEO for a company that sells electronic spectrum analyzers, but there is a lot of money in that industry (rich industry means they can pay you). There are many niche directories for industries where business owners would welcome talking to someone who actually can relate to their industry and specific needs.

If you could provide some of the answers above, I or someone could make some solid suggestions.

The best thing I can tell you is to make sure that you have about ten different original articles that talk about various areas of SEO, and 3 of the pages should be clearly devoted to Google. The more pages you have that talk about "white hat SEO" and specifically link back to Google info pages, the better Page Rank you will get. This just is common sense, because part of the Google PR rating is based on verifying your site validity and for SEO that means the closer you can "buddy up" with the Google search engine using Latent Symantic Indexing (search it) then you will do much better in your rankings.
