Hey everybody,

I just changed the theme on one of my blogs to thesis theme. I have the all in one seo plugin activated but thesis also has the same if not more options for seo.

Can I just continue to put meta keywords, descriptions.... in the all in one plugin or do I HAVE to use thesis?

Thanks and all the best.

Ive never seen what "options" are given by that theme , however i would recommend you taking a look at Yoasts "Wordpress SEO" as a replacement for "all in one seo pack" , it has some fantastic features most of which will probably cover the ones in the theme its self. Dont forget to import "all in one seo pack" settings after enabling it .

Its getting glowing reports and i have to say i only have 3 sites left using "all in one seo pack" and they will be changed over very soon.

    Dino, hi,

No - you can just continue to use the All-in-one-SEO pack if you prefer - you don't have to use Thesis' controls.

Keep in mind that if you deactivate the All-in-one-SEO pack all the SEO tags you've set up on all your pages and posts will be lost.

If you wanted to switch to Thesis' SEO controls (which would enable you to drop the all-in-one-seo pack) you can write an SQL query to extract the META tags from the All-in-one and place them in the equivalent fields in Thesis.

Full details on how to do that, including a link the the SQL query and the steps to follow, here:

I haven't used any SEO plug-ins before, but I believe that optimizing your META tags might help you out

You should try YOAST SEO which is free and much more powerful than ALL in ONe SEO
