I found a blog page which has pr 3. It seems they allow auto approval of the comment. I have went through some of the comments and it seems a lot of them are spams. Even I saw the viagra one.

I was planning to comment on it because it has high pr and related to my clients niche.

So should I go for it?

Yes. The link will still most likely help. It cannot hurt.

I tried to post but a message was coming, sorry we cannot accept this data. It was a typad blog platform. I guess the comment has been ceased. No wonder there was no comment after end of May 2010.

The question is the the tpye of comments, but the number of comments. I'll comment on high PR site with 1 viagra comment any day. I won't comment on a high PR site with 3000 'legitimate' comments. The PR is spread to thin.

I always have done, and kept my comments to the subject of the original post.

You are assuming the links are actually noticed.
With that much spam, doubtful any link is worth a dang.
PR has nothing to do with whether google trusts or counts
a link. I would not waste my time on spammed blogs.
