How do SEO companies build backlinks and get results fast?

Well everyone here is going on about how you're better off building backlinks manually... which made me wonder:

Do professional SEO companies build links manually?

Unless they have huge teams of people working with lots of free time on their hands and few clients it's next to impossible.

So how do these companies do it? I can imagine the work pressure is high and since SEO is a slow process on itself it makes me wonder how they do it and get results fast? Anyone care to elaborate on this?

I'm sure a lot of them outsource it use comment spam, or even do a lot a xrumer blasts. I mean the real professionals have methods that aren't public knowledge, that is what separates the big boys from the children.

    Many do them manually.

One outsourcer from the Philippines is capable of doing about 90-130 websites an hour. However many backlinks you put on each profile/post increases that number drastically.

I pay my backlinker $2 for every 30 websites he does (2 backlinks on each site = 60 backlinks). So the cost and ROI is phenomenal, and it's really good money for him too. I talked to him one time on a personal sense and he said that for every $1 he earns, it's equivalent to about $5 USD in Filipino Pesos. So for paying him $2 for 30 backlinks, that's actually like him getting $10 in his standards.

So to scale this, it's a very cheap, but effective, process.

      Hey Guys,

I have researched a lot over seo companies and what they are doing to get the good rankings. Let me tell you that their are various type of seo companies and all of them have different methods to do seo. Some do blog commenting (say scrape box) some forums (xrumer) some content (lets say some use senuke) and some are real internet marketers. Example Bruce Clay!!

Now a days you can get traffic by various ways (social media, videos and more on the list) which can get you good amount of traffic. I have tried various sources to get traffic on my site. So i would suggest all the seo's to not restrict your seo efforts to get good ranking just by any means (blackhat). Just interact with the people you want to. It will surely help!!

Yes its all manual , it also doesnt take as much time as you think it does , various methods take different amounts of time, for example article marketing most of the time the articles will be outsourced , given to the seo company to then check and use on relevant projects etc.

Any seo company that uses scapebox, xrumer i stay well clear of if i was you, Blog commenting can also be dangerous in the wrong hands and if anyone ever tells you that they are going to submit your site to 3000 directory's then run a mile. Lots of people out there ready to take your money so make sure you do plenty of research before choosing someone to work on your projects.

The majority of SEO firms do things manually. Even if they use tools for the most part is still involves man-power. I have heard it takes 3-8 people on a team to manage 1 client. To get there SEO done that is.

I work with a an SEO company that has 90% of the SEO work automated through custom web-based software they built. It is pretty ingenius....

      3) 2 good articles post one of the article at ezine articles and the other one on buzzle.

I wouldn't use ANY methods on my client's sites that I don't use for my own. Therefore no automation for me. Everyone gets so hung up on high numbers of links to rank. That's too bad. It really only requires a fraction of what most people think, how and where to do it. Quality will always prevail over quantity.

I think most of the seo companies do the manual submission because it produces quality backlinks.

It depends massively on the project, the company and even the client.

SEO Company's don't get "results fast" in fact quite often they'll get the result slowly after all there's more money in getting results slow than getting them fast.

I do SEO myself for clients and often I may potentially be able to get them to rank in 1-2 months..after all I got my own website marksherris.com to rank for SEO Consultant in about 2 months which is obviously pretty competitive in comparison to a lot of keywords however I know that it's pointless for me to offer 2 month rankings if the client is happily willing to pay for 6 months work - and also I of course put a lot more time and effort into my own site to get it up in 2 months.

Some SEO Companies can be a bit "dodgy" and sometimes they'll take advantage of clients who aren't very educated on SEO and say something like it'll take 12 months to rank for these 10 keywords etc etc.. even though they are all long tail (might not even bring that much traffic in) they'll send reports to the client for 6-7 months by which time the client is angry because he's been paying 6-7 months work and nothing has happened and just before he pulls the plug on the project they'll finally start doing some work... get the good ranking then tell the client he needs to pay XX XXX amount upfront in order to maintain the rank otherwise it's gone...

I was on the phone to a guy a few weeks back who threw 24grand (£) down the drain with a SEO company because he paid them 2K per month for 12 months and at the end of the 12 months they said it wud be 10k a year (paid upfront) in order to maintain the rank... he said no because he wanted to test out the results of his new rankings first, so they pulled the links and his rank disappeared!

Anyway kind of forgot what the point of this was... oh right yeah fast rankings... it all depends on the competition and what type of links your getting.. somebody above mentioned blog comments ... well blog comments can't really damage your website, and they are actually really good for getting high value links because some webmasters don;t use "no-follow" so you're getting loads of link juice from the blog.

If your reporting back to your client with link locations though your strategy may be different to a client who doesn't really care about link locations...

as I mentioned above blog comments are actually really good despite what some people say in terms of SEO ranking however it doesn't look very good sending your client a report with links on some random blog that could potentially look spammy even though they are very effective.

There's plenty of sites though that have their rank built entirely on blog comments... they are good as I say but risky because you can easily rev-engineer them if your a competitor

An experienced Linkbuilder can create 30-40 profiles manually and easily. And can post 1,2,3 backlinks on each profile. But getting good ranking just from creating backlinks is really slow process but when you ping all those backlinks then itc an be indexed faster and can give you faster results.

Many SEOs do their work differently. There is no right and wrong way to do it per say, although some methods are more effective than others.

SEO is a 'trade', it's a 'skill', and there are many different ways, in SEO, that one can accomplish a goal. You could do it just manually, and get results, you could do it all with software/services and get results, or you could do both and get results.

What I mean is, if I find a keyword for which has a certain level of competition, there's no exact pattern or series of methods that MUST be used to attain good rankings.

The main thing is, getting quality backlinks, and lots of them, but nobody is limited to any certain way, or certain places to attain these quality links.

So, if I had to answer this question simply, I'd say that you are not likely to find that any 2 SEO providers will do their work or accomplish the same tasks, the same way. Each one will do it their own way, because there is no 'certain way' to do SEO.

I assure you there IS a wrong way. Read google's guidelines and I am sure you will find a lot of WRONG ways to do SEO. Or...just ask Overstock.com

Well yes, you're right, I knew when I was typing that I should have elaborated LOL. And there it is!

I do agree that there is a wrong way to do SEO, I guess what I meant to say was, 'There is more than one way to do it successfully', meaning, two SEOs might go about a certain SEO campaign differently, but could still achieve the same results.

One thing you must remember is software is no "magic" system. Software just does things that you would normally do manually but automatically so in essence it saves a hell of a lot of time.

The downside is that often software / automation means speed and if you go "too fast" you can have negative effects...

I do use software myslf (and I also do things manually) but when using software it's very important not to go trigger happy... sometimes you think that because it only took you 30 minutes instead of 3 hours manually that you need to do more and more when in fact u dont :-)

    Agree with Adam.

but Manual SEO (link bulding) will give you slow success rate but that success will be long term base.
and Bulk or spammy or SEO with the help of automated tools. can't give you long term success.

I express my views according to my little experience.

Well, as previous posts state, most companies outsource their work to another company.

I've seen nothing but positive results with manual linkbuilding. Sure it may take a bit longer, perhaps a bit more expensive... The results are fantastic though.

    Two things:

    1. It's not better to build backlinks manually. It's what you can and can not automate.

    2. Most SEO companies either manage a bunch of overseas VA's or outsource to service providers (forums, etc).

No difference really. Just a different client base.

Combination of software and manual linking. I'm an SEO but I develop strategy and teach our corporate clients how to execute. We don't do much manual admin type of work in house.

It depends on client, since there are some clients demand you to produce many links as much as possible and sometimes require you to use automation and software but there are some that only limits you to make 60 to 80 links per day and do it manually to avoid spamming.

Every SEO companies have different approach for building backlinks. Here are good tips for good backlinks:
Write one article & PR, submit in popular article & pr directory (not more than one directory)
Submit website in niche business directories. Make sure that they should not link farm.
