When it comes to traffic all I think of is SERPS, where else can I get traffic?

Basically I have been doing quite a bit of seo, and slowly ranking but not getting any traffic from the serps yet. So where can I get traffic from?

I know about Yahoo answers, social media/bookmarking. I seem to have a knack with youtube seo, but for my niche the keywords are not good converting on youtube. Soo where can I get traffic, quickly?

O I know forums are good too, have done all the forums in my niche too.

    1. PPC (be careful and learn from a pro how it's done first)
    2. Article marketing with a strong incentive to click your link at the end to visit your site.
    3. Find some high-traffic blogs in your niche and leave comments with links back to your site, and/or ask to guest blog.

      You might be doing all of those things for SEO purposes, but are you doing them so you can get traffic directly from those techniques?

      For example, are you doing mass blog commenting on untargeted blogs for backlinks... or are you producing well thought out comments on blogs in your niche? I'm in the second camp and I get quite a bit of traffic and subscribers from consistent blog commenting.

      When you do article marketing, are these article directory submissions (which are basically getting slapped by Google right now) or are you submitting content to targeted sites in your niche?

      Sometimes it's the way you do something that increases your chances of getting traffic.
