Building backlinks in 2011

My niche is very competitive and I've had a hard time ranking so I've been looking into backlinking to improve my PR.

After thoroughly researching back links I came to the conclusion that sending out mass waves of low quality links will get you de-indexed. Thats when it hit me; instead of building myself backlinks I'd build them for my competition ...its shady I know, but to justify it all of my competitors had useless pages delivering nothing of quality.

So heres what I do:

First I send a script of 7,000 low quality back-links within a 5 minute time frame, then I mass ping their website a few thousand times.

Next thing I know.. they're two ranks up. Becoming de-indexed it a myth.

UPDATE: Competitors site is no where to be seen! Never mind what I said earlier, I'm calling this a success on my part.

lmao, that's hilarious. Perhaps it's not that it's a myth but that you really gotta add a lot of links. A LOT.

LOL - this had me laughing. Great test and post. I would concur, I've never seen any of my sites over 15 years deindexed from any search engine for too many links.

IMO that is just wrong. I would spend the time and build the right links to get your site ranked. It never pays off in the long run doing things like that.

This is somehow funny. I think the way backlinks work can be misleading, because in my opinion they operate differently based on the sites they link to:
    - If you send lots of low quality backlinks to a new site or to a non authority site (and do what you did: Lots of pings), the backlinks are either useless and the site can get de-indexed.
    - If you send lots of "any" quality backlinks to an authority site, they count very well, and you have no chance of getting it de-indexed.
Looks like search engines robots are more intelligent than you may think! Thus, it would be a real discovery if you could find a method to get an authority site de-indexed, but it would be the end of Search Engines.

The weird thing is that the site I sent them to was new (about 1-2 months old), I know this because my niche is new.

If the competitor's PR was already 1+, it won't be affected by bad links.

Anyway, your hypothesis is inherently defective.

Anyone can link to another site. The site-owner is not responsible for that. So there is no way it will get the site de-indexed.

Check the update everyone - I have successfully delisted the site. It took a LOT of mass pings but eventually it did the trick. Maybe page ranking won't be so hard after all.

Yeah, and then your competitor will be listed even higher. This is just ignorant. Honestly, I thought your post was funny, but then realized you really believe in what you said.

No, you didn't delist anybody, and you didn't deindex anybody, give me a link and I'll believe it.

Come on man, use some basic logic, you could ping a site 5,000 times in 10 minutes and it doesn't mean search engines are going to crawl it immediately. It could take days, even weeks.

        This is just utter stupidity.

You can't blast backlinks for someone else expecting them to be deindexed. LOL.

I call major BS on this one, and if you want to try to prove me wrong, then do it to mine and let me see!

Doubt it... it isn't like search engines JUST came into existence. They have overcome other issues bigger than that, lol.

      Hello,
They are very useful, the only things which you should always remember that the links should be relevant and do-follow, also the blog should have a high PR.

I have used this facility and have been very benefited, they instantly boost your rank.

My favorite backlink strategy is contest. I run some contests around some high quality blogs and I'm getting great results. You have to try it too!

I got your point, that is why when you build backlinks you must be careful on how you will do it. Hire an expert if necessary. That is the best thing to do.

I hope those links in your sig aren't to your blog, because otherwise I don't think you have yet achieved expert status at SEO.

We'd have all out wars competitors against competitors and most sites in the ranking coming up with dozens of backlinks from nowhere.

Google must have something in place for this sort of thing. Infact not even must, they do.. period.

This was either pure coincidence, isn't true, or when you did another search you simply used Google whilst logged in or through the same IP again.

So your results could have been different.

Either way, guarantee you this can't work because Google themselves state that backlinks are one of their most important features to ranking websites in the SERPs. You think Google would allow such an abusable method work on one of their most important ranking parameters.

You don't think Google from day 1 expected a few people to pick up on the idea of bombing their competitors to get rid of them in the rankings? I very much think they did so.

Comon people, I know learning SEO is difficult in some cases, but sometimes you just need to use common sense.
