Can I use a "banner Link" for the Post or PageTitle for WP?

hey warriors,

I use WP blogs....

I'm promoting a digital CB product whose banners are rather?? limited...
and the one I like happens to be a banner that basically resembles
colorful text with larger fonts (text banner)

Kinda of like

HEY WARRIORS
Don't You Love My Product

(it actually looks very similar to what I have typed in above, which is why I felt as a header or page title, or title for the post, it looked great!)

so It's an html code hyperlinked image, I suppose you could say, and clickable, but it looks like fancy text, like a true title

I never knew that if I paste the code for the banner into the
box for the "add page name" or the "post name" in WP it actually infact works!
NEWS TO me!

I never knew that!

Here's my question, for SEO purposes I realize having your keywords in the page name and the title are important, in this example I would have html code for the banner in their instead

if I use "<h1>" for the heading for the 1st paragraph(as an alternative), can that truly supplant the SEO necessity for the page or title gravity given it by google?

anyone know the answer?

I know it's an odd question, thanks very much warriors

Dano~

It will effect your SEO value of the page, if you don't set the page title to something meaningful..

I would suggest using a plugin such as All-in-1-seo and then for this page/post make sure you set the page title to some SEO valuable text..

Apart from that all is good

    Hope this helps

The banner is nothing more than an image so I would make sure that you are using the alt="" to get some keyword in there. The banner itself will not do much for you for seo, but if you label it the right way it may be picked up when it comes to image search for those terms.

      thatnk you bruce,

You're always very helpful and I appreciate it!

I do use the all in one seo pack as well

You know I was really surprised to find out that you can actually have code work in those two areas "add a page name" and "post title"

I played with it a bit and since I have custom structure on the permalinks
I can tell the page to have the permalink changed to the "sitename/product-name" while still leaving the code in that title/post/page field (I'm amazed at the "versatility" of the titles/page" !!!!!!)

Or adding the product name, in "front of" the code in the "add a page name" or "Post title"(the reason I mention both is that some blogs I use "pages" instead of "posts" and I tested both

But you think that crawlers can tell what I'm doing and even if I use an <h1> for the header of the 1st paragraph, google will still not give it the proper value (with the all in one seo pac as well)?

      Dano~

(titan & touch< I was in author mode when you must have posted) Titan & Touch! like "Csonka and Kiick"!

I agree about using all-in one seo. I think it is worth a test though. As long as everything else is in place and you are posting good original content you will be fine. I have seen horrible sites rank well before simply because of the content alone. Don't worry and go for it.
