How do i rank other keywords?

Recently i read a WSO and it told me, that it isn't good to build anchor backlinks for keyword B, if keyword A already ranks in Google.

So if my site is on #1 for KeywordA, how can i get it also to #1 for KeywordB, but still be on #1 for KeywordA?

Thanks in Advance

I find it hard to believe that a WSO would advise you not to try to rank for multiple keywords. Maybe instead, you want to have anchor text that points to both keywords so that they can both benefit (ie - some backlinks for keyword A and some for keyword B)?

As for how to get both ranked, a lot will depend on how you structure the content on your website (things like having a separate page for keywords A & B versus one page that incorporates both) and the backlinking work that you do for each.

    Thank you Sarah.

So another option would be creating a new article for KeywordB and then just building deeplinks directly to this article, wouldn't it?

fdan, yes, what Sarah said sounds good.

I honestly haven't heard of anything saying doing anchor texted links to other keywords is bad... and I have only seen everyone do the opposite... build more back links to other keywords.

Well, you should divide your backlinks into:

    1) Those who will promote Keyword A
    2) Those who will promote Keyword B
