New Google Changes and Facebook
- SEO |
I have three clients who had Facebook pages on the first page of Google. All of them took a drop recently of 10-20 spots in the rankings. I haven't checked the Facebook pages of any other clients yet. Just curious if anyone has seen anything similar.
It strikes me as odd, because there has been some buzz recently about Apple making a move to acquire Facebook. Combined, they could be a problem for Google. People are using apps more and more on their smartphones. There is some speculation that users are going to migrate away from search and towards apps like Facebook, Yelp, Foursquare for more of their search inquiries.
Of course, that has more to do with local searches versus searching for things like "how to skin my husky who just decided to take a dump on the floor".
Anyhow, anyone noticing much of a change in Facebook rankings?
