Online Store SEO question

Hey guys, I have a few questions about SEO when it comes to an online store. I'm currently using Opencart as my ecommerce platform. I am building a clothing website for my town but I have a few questions concerning SEO.

Everytime I make a new category, I need to input an SEO keyword. Now, let's say my category is called 'Coats'. Do I need to put as SEO keyword 'cheap wholesale clothes'? or do I need to put my main keyword?

Also, when I put a product with photo and description, it also asks for SEO keyword. So let's say I name a product 'Armani Leather Coat' should my SEO keyword be 'buy armani leather coat' or should I input my main keyword wich is montreal clothing. ( Montreal Branded Clothing)

I would really like some answers if anyone know.

Thank you!

Well, just put your main keyword in your image, so that it will be easily crawled by search engines.

    *cough*

    Theres the door.

Is it worth it to drive traffic to individual categories? This question was brought up at a webinar I attended and I'm curious. The less clicks a customer has to make, the higher your conversion % becomes.

simple solution. You put your keyword according to page or category. And you should select your keyword according to category.

The consumer search and traffic and over a keyword can decide that over which keyword you should start a strategy for deploying your niche.

It should be whichever one you want the category to rank for.

I would make Montreal Branded Clothing the SEO keyword for your homepage and then for your category pages (and other pages) find the related keywords with good traffic and low competition using a good keyword tool like Market Samurai or Keyword Elite.

          Hope that helps,
          Mark
