Google farmer algorithm change is excellent

I decided to focus on the "winner" sites.

I uploaded content yesterday to one of those sites (not youtube) with a very clear link to my site - better than any article signature.

I used four keyword phrases and today I am front page on Google for all of them including the main phrase.

Even better - thats all I have done so far, no social bookmarking or link building at all yet.

So that is what I will do next and see it I can get up the serp list. This is great and so much easier than article submission.

Unless you made it to position 1, this isn't anything to brag about I'm afraid. Find a keyword that has little competition, write an article on it and chance's are if the competition is weak enough, it will wind up on the first page, just like your article.

The important thing is whether that article brings you traffic that converts.

People have been chasing the tail of the 'strong' web 2.0 and user generated content sites since they first were noticed. Instead of waiting for Google to announce updates and the SEO market to make a big song and dance about it, you just had to follow the heavy hitters in the SEO game - pharma, gambling and the like.

The top players would always end taking advantage of sites Google favored and just kept moving ahead of the target.

What you are doing is smart, but there is a good chance it would have worked on some of the 'loser' sites too.

Just a heads up - this thread really should be in the SEO forum so don't be suprised if it moves or is deleted.

You are only saying that because it the Google Farmer was of help to you. Likewise, the likes of Ezine Articles would a differing opinion. But glad in worked in your favour.

The site I posted to is probably about to get hammered.

scribd - I posted a public domain document and added a one page sales letter for my product to the PDF.
