Preparing To Rank 10 Affiliate Sites, Am I At Risk Of Being Sandboxed?

Hey Warriors,

All ten sites will be hosted with HostGator. I'm pretty sure they'll have the same/similar IP. I don't have my own server or anything.

I'm going to be implementing some pretty aggressive SEO strategies for each.

Since they are all on the same server and all ten will have hundreds of backlinks heading their way am I better off switching to a VPS so they can all have different IPs? I've been thinking about switching anyways. This is the first of several 'waves' of sites I'm launching and I don't know how big of a deal the whole "similar IP" thing is.

Thanks!
Nick

Why don't you just do SEO the safe way? There is very little chance of you being sandboxed, it will look natural and you will have a good position in the SERPS for longer. Only thing is it'll take longer - but far worth it.

As for same ID, if your doing it blackhat google will see the same IP, and if your doing the same thing with all the websites you very well may get sandboxed. Even with a vps there is still a chance. Don't risk it imo.

Nothing shady on my end, unless UAW (set to 50/day) is shady.

I can't remember where but I heard that if one server suddenly starts getting tons of backlinks (we're talking thousands overall...hundreds per site...but definitely not tens of thousands) then some of the sites start looking sketchy in the eyes of Google.

If I'm only doing a few thousand backlinks total, using UAW as well as multiple other natural backlinking techniques like blogs and whatnot, do I have anything to worry about? These will all be spread over the next month or two.

Thanks for your response! I'm hoping to stay away from shady linking.

Are they brand new domains you'll be using?

Yes. They were all bought within the past 24 hours.

Hmm...should I trickle in the links instead? Start off light and then transition to aggressive?

I think that would be a lot better plan, looks so much more natural for Google

Google is like a little kitten that you don't want to scare off by being too aggressive Lol
