SEO Expert Wanted: Domain name advice please!

Hi there!

I have a question I have been wanting to have answered for a long time now, but I just can't seem to find it!

As we all know, finding an exact match (keyword) domain name is the best for SEO, however let's say that our keyword is "wedding speeches", and weddingspeeches.com has already been taken (including .net, .org), can you use speecheswedding.com instead?

Will this give the same benefits from as SEO point of view because it contains 100% of the keywords? Or doesn't it work like that because they keywords are reversed?

    Have you tried, wedding-speeches.com?

    Essentially it would be the same since google doesn't read left to right, but there is a lot of debate to that it seems.

    I would add a generic letter to the ending of the main keyword for the domain instead. Google won't take it into account as being part of your keyword phrase.

    weddingspeechesy.com or something like that

      I believe this is the best advice, though from my own experience I went after the keywords "Shop Green" in my own domain name but I am still outranked by websites using "Green Shop", so there are other things that Google must take into consideration.

          Any boost is purely speculative and probably nil.

          Worry about something else.

          If people spent as much time on real SEO stuff instead
          of domain names, they might actually get somewhere.

          People outrank you due to what they do with the site.
          Not by who has a "better" domain name.

          Now that's advice you can take to bank if you choose to
          take it.

            Still... if I want to find a domainname that stands out from the crowd, I check NameBoy and get some real good ideas most of the time.

      Because I gave "wedding speeches" as purely as an example. It is not my niche.

    Its your choice man...dont deserve on keywords at all. Select a unique name and easily to remember.

    The site weddingspeeches.com will have more chance to come first for the keyword "wedding speeches" as the domain is exact to the search term. But what I say that keyword is domain is not much important thing. If you provide quality content or service then google will give more importance to your website and so have the more chance to pick your website first.

      I find Bing and Yahoo rank keyword domain names higher than Google. Maybe they are less sophisticated and have to relay more heavily on keywords in domains, not sure, but you'll get a boost there for sure.
