I have checked the back links going into some of my sites. Most of the tools and even some of the most popular ones do not pull up all of the back links.

Why do they not pull up all the back links?

I found a tool once that did pull up all of them but have misplaced the URL.

Which back link or backlink checker tool pulls up all of the links pointing to a particular web site?

I use this but I do believe no tools could ever show every single backlinks

Most of such tools show limited no. of backlinks and many of them rely on Yahoo siteexplorer to check any site's backlinks.

Yahoo Siteexplorer show backlinks limited to 1000.

I usually check the number of backlinks with the help of Yahoo site explorer of Backlink watch.

There is another great service. I think they're called majestic seo.
They deliver really great and detailed results.

  You know, I think this is the one I found. But did they not until recently show more detailed results for free? I see they have a paid option that probably does that now.
  
  Yes, they do find all of the back links. I think if you use some other services they use gxxgle which does not show results disregarded by gxxgle.

I like SEO Spyglass. I never checked the max it will show but have one site where it shows 3000 backlinks.
