Hi do you have any idea on how to out rank your competitors?

Rather focusing on your site to get rank high?

I know someone who try this method but I just want to have a clear view on
how they do that...

Any idea?

Thanks!

    Better content on your site.

More links to more quality, related sites.

    profit.

What "method" are you specifically talking about? Focusing on your site to outrank your competitors? I wouldn't call that a method but rather common sense. Yes, that's what you do and no, great content won't help much with that. The majority of your rankings will come from off-page seo.

The best thing you can do is to double your efforts and make it harder than your competitors.

First of all, make sure that you actually can outrank your competitors with the time and resources you have available.

You have to have at least decent on page optimization, but as BacklinkExcellence already said, the ranking mainly depends on off-page seo, in other words, backlinks.

Look at how many backlinks your competition has.

      Then forget that number.

Look at the quality of these backlinks. If they are all from relevant, authority sites, it will be hard to beat. However, if all they have is 20 ezinearticles links, surely you can write 21 article? (I'm simplifying of course).

There's plenty of information here on WarriorForum on how to estimate your competition, search around a bit and pretty soon you'll be able to make a reasonable guess whether you can or can't beat your competition.
