    I always go with CPC.

Thing with FB advertising is you have to constantly keep a check on things.. and advert can 'die' so to speak and be left running for days without any clicks and cost you a fortune on CPM..

On CPC you can at least keep an eye on costs a lot more clearly.

    I allways prefer cpc.
Because you can see exactly how much people came to your website.

What you need to do is set up 2 cpc ads and test them for a few days

Once you find the one that has a higher click thru rate then you convert them to CPM, this will require you to set up the ads again but once you have a winning ad its worth it.

There is no point setting up CPM ads if they do not convert

With facebook, I will typically start with cpc to test. If I am able to get my click through rate high enough then I will change to CPM since it will be cheaper. I wouldn't recommend starting off with cpm unless you've already tested it out on other platforms. You can lose your shirt pretty quickly with cpm if you're not careful.

In what I've seen as far as on information on Facebook ads goes, that is from the several products that I have purchased about the subject, you start with CPC, then if the CTR gets to a certain level, then you can get switch to CPM.
Unfortunately, I cannot speak from experience.

I have used CPM for a lot of campaigns and I have to say the results were usually not good. I switched to CPC and it was definitely much better. So I say CPC.

Chrisbazzle is right. You should always start your campaign with CPC and do multiple testings with your campaigns. Could be switching around your display picture, your headline, or the content copy you write.

Once your CTR improves, the bid price will drop dramatically and it will be much more affordable for you.

Not advisable to use CPM for a start because it will be too expensive for you to bear.

    Cheers,
    Lester

First go with the PPC option . Once you achieve high CTR , you can shift to CPM or test both PPC and CPM to identify the best option.
