Help: Requests to use a page from my site on another blog

I have been getting a number of requests of late asking to use a page of my site on their site.
“A new pingback on the post XXXXXXXXXXXX is waiting your approval”
Is it a good thing to have a page of yours indexed on someone’s blog? I assume yes but a part of me things google might recognize this as duplicate content and punish either myself or the other site, or both for having duplicate content.

Thoughts?

I think you may be a little confused on pingbacks. Check out this link from wordpress support. Pingbacks « Support — WordPress.com

I would say yes. It basically means that someone is linking to your site - perhaps they pulled a line or two from your post and quoted it within their own post. It may be in your best interest to check out this other site and see exactly what and how they are linking to you.

Pingbacks are typically a good thing.

And if someone is putting your content on their site its a good thing as well. As long as they give you a dofollow backlink. Google knows whats going on with syndicated content and youre not going to get punished for your content getting syndicated. Thats what the internet is all about. Sharing;-)
