Hello,

I have site
xxx.com
and blog on it:
xxx.com/blog

When I publish new blog post, I make 1-2 backlinks
<a href="xxx.com">target keyword</a>

does it get any benefit for getting better ranking for target keyword?

    Yes, that's what you want (anchor-text) If you can get it.

    Another trick you can use If they don't allow anchor text, is create a new page with the page title + url as the keyword, then redirect to a sales page, etc...

    Example external backlink/url, my keyword is cool cars

    hxxp://www.mydomain.com/cool-cars/

    This way you still get keyword anchor-text.
