Google changes/tweaks the algorithm on a weekly basis. Does that mean that we should also change our SEO strategy on a weekly basis too?

Guys, I got really worried when heard about this Algorithm change. And still confused about the link building strategy. Visited many site for the past few days. Agreed with the term "quality content" that is on-site optimization. But for off-site eg link building, what should be the new tactics? Can't agree totally with "artse", google improve it's algorithm weekly but this time, this a huge change. Lots of giant site got kicked off from their reliable position, losing their traffic. If you visit google's forum, you will know that many webmaster become frustrated. They are frequently complaining to google about this issue. Matt Cutts keep saying about quality content matter. Article submission has lost its value, link wheel will be value less, most great sites from where we were getting quality back links are becoming no follow. If it is difficult for us, then it is also difficult for our competitor. We must think over the competitor. Just want to know expert opinion about the future strategy of link building. Any opinion will be for us who love to research about SEO.

Just like EMD, much of the spam backlinking techniques have become redundant. But most of the talk on various forums is dominated by Content Farm.

Could you please explain it more clearly? I didn't understand all of it.

I am actually a new member. I've come to this forum to know more about SEO and I believe I would get what I am looking for.

            However, thanks for reply.

I think you are indicating about the Google recent steps to avoid content farming.

Unique content marketing ( i.e ) using unique content in each article and blogs is the best way to overcome this.

Google's strategy is not a great factor if your old technique works well.

No one have exact idea about Google's strategy and also they change randomly. So, keep continuing your old technique until it perform bad.

Google changes its Algo, but be sure the basic strategy of search engine is not going to be changed with this, So need not to worry.

you basically just need to take advantage of all the signals they use, get links from comments, forums, inline text, aged domains, ALSO from facebook and twitter and social bookmarking. This will give you a nice link profile and good rankings!

They also look at onpage stuff like on page SEO, how often content is published, length of articles, outbound links, who you link to etc. You need a nice well rounded site and be patient

Can't agree with it. Facebook and twitter are no follow, so they have no value to google, only they can create traffic but that's not much.

But I agree with the term on-page optimization. It is the most important factor now.

My strategy has always stayed the same and since I try to do as much as possible and hit every mark, then I don't see any point of changing my strategy.

The change wasn't that big, it mostly affected article directories or ppl with websites that are very general.
