no i typically dont do reciprocal links because they seem to be pretty worthless.... I offer my product for free generally.. this only works though about one every fifty or so...

For Me By adding Good comment to other blog that relevan is work,
just dont spam,backlink must be slow when you get backlink 1000 one time you may get finalty from google, just becarful, also link will come if you have good conten on your article,

Try to post on a forum website this is an effective way to get backlinks. Blog commenting and other link building techniques are also effective. If you do article submissions and directory submission well it's a good thing, this will also help you generate traffic.

I second this opinion. But it does take some time to do. Remember to find blogs that are related to your topic and and provide some useful and meaningful comment. Such comments will less likely to get deleted by the blog owner.

Link Building will be very effective if you do it slowly and precisely. It is like making a strong base for your site. The first step of this process should be collecting the information. Make a database of every thing on the web which is relevant to your site, i.e. blogs, forums, communities websites etc. Categorize them in three groups High Quality, Medium Quality and Low Quality.

Start by choosing few number of blogs and forums to do link building but again do not make hurry in making links do read the post on which you are going to comment and the threads on which you are going to post. Try to write descriptive and meaningful comments and posts and flourish your writing skills which is an important weapon to do the link building, and try to engage your self in the discussions so you can learn how to build relationships which will help you afterwards.

After having enough practice on the Low Quality websites you are ready to move on the high quality websites to do the link building. Now you need to be patient here also. Don't post comments or thread replies with links and signature in the beginning at first make a good reputation on the websites and then post with your link. In this way your link will be at there place forever if they are posted with some quality content.

One of the methods for driving traffic and building backlinks - article marketing. Just submit an article you've written with anchor text pointing to your URL.

Use social bookmarking sites (such as Stumbleupon, Digg) which allows to bookmark sites, blog posts, pictures etc.

A major press release - sending out a press release is effective because your press release will rank almost immediately and search engines love press release sites.

Commenting on blogs in your niche can also be a great way to build backlinks to your site.

Join a forum in your field and start answering questions in an online forum - make a good reputation and people will no doubt click on your signature link to visit your website.

Also, you can try to outsource your link building - make sure you find someone that knows what they are doing and understands the difference between good and bad links.

Or you can try Scrapebox and Sick Submitter - it's a powerful combination

You need to be more careful while doing the article submission now. After the change in the algorithm of Google. Now you need to choose only those directories which have purely unique and meaningful content and not considered as content farms
