Strat's for using Twitter and Facebook with my Amazon Aff Sites?

At times I hear it mentioned that it's a good Idea to incorporate Facebook and Twitter...

Gotta to be honest....

Not sure how this works...

Please enlighten me???

Cause I would love to incorporate new ways to promote my site...

      Just tweet a line and update on facebook. That's what I
      do. Takes all of 10 seconds. I do not believe in 3rd party
      junkware to do any of these tasks automatically. I was
      burned once by a crackdown from twitter and cannot afford
      to lose 1,000's of followers. Facebook is not nearly as
      good as twitter.
