SEO - Bing and Google

Hi to everyone - my first post.

I am a webmaster for an industry website that I put together about 18 months ago. I have managed to get the website to positions 1 and 2 on both Bing and Yahoo for their main keyword phrase, BUT it is languishing at the bottom of page 3 in Google. I understand that perhaps Google likes back links more than Bing but this still seems a large disparity. This has been the case for about 9 months with no improvement.

Any pointers to improve Google SERP.

I can post the website and keyword phrase but not sure if this is etiquette .

Many thanks

Without knowing the website it is hard to see what the problem is. Make sure that you have a good sitemap and a good bots file for google to follow. This may help out. You should also check to make sure that you are not being penalized by google for anything. If not keep working on your quality backlinks and unique content.

Type 'spray dryers' into Bing and it's in position 1 and 2, but nowhere on Google.

      Cheers

It won't let me post a link as I'm not important enough yet - need 15 posts first!

The funny thing is I have submitted an article on the subject to Ezine articles and the article is listed on page 2 of Google, whilst the dedicated website is on page 3.

Make sure your own website contains your articles for some time before you submit to other. Infact I would keep my best quality stuff only on my own site and use social marketing for them. Then possibly spin your less-then-star-quality articles to article directories.
