Hello warriors,
I'm now an affiliate marketer. If i want to increase traffic to my affliate links, is it necessary to buy traffic ?

no, but some will tell you its faster..the old-fashioned way, where you write articles and link back to them, work just fine.. blogs are usually quickest, since they get crawled most frequently

If you buy cheap traffic, it will never convert, and probably a bot that hit to your site, or simply domain's traffic redirect, which is not targeted to your niche.

If you buy PPC traffic, that's too expensive and your ROI may not be justified.

Why not research a low competition keyword, buy unique articles, then submit to EZA (I know EZA is badly hit by Google slap recently), but so long your article is unique and submitted to EZA first before elsewhere, the chances of getting rank is still high. That's the traffic that will give you long term ROI.

    My 2 cents...

Not true in my case. Get the right markets, do the research, build a well-structured campaign, know how to manage it well and success is yours.

      It's all I do.

If you do know how to do seo, then the answer is NO, but if you don't, then i suggest running a ppc campaing.

      It's not necessary, no.

More people do badly than do well, by buying traffic, mostly because (as rightly observed above) bad, cheap traffic will never convert.

If you can find out how to buy exactly the right traffic, reliably, from the right place (or work out how to attract it by PPC), and get it all right, then it has one absolutely huge advantage: it's typically scalable - and in some niches it can almost be scalable without limit, which is overwhelming, and is the way a tiny minority of people can really hit the jackpot.

But the learning-curve is typically long, slow and expensive, and most people drop out of it, taking a loss, somewhere along the way.

I use organic SEO, social media, and even offline marketing in order to make sales. PPC is too expensive and you're probably not going to make a good profit, if any at all.

Have a think; where can you find your potential buyers? it's not just about ranking highly on the search engines. Posting at forums can be effective, as can be guest blogging.

Ppc is expensive and sometimes might not justify you ROI, I prefer using SEO. You could higher an SEO company or any warrior here if you don't know how to do SEO but make sure your keyword is a good buyer keyword with a direct product targeted on it.

    It's better this way...

This forum is full of advice about SEO but you can google it and find some specific SEO forums too. I bet there are some eBooks still out there too on the subject.

At the first days, i earn commission as an affiliate by manually posting ads to some classified sites. Are there any effective methods to get targeted audiences beside this ?

No. With good market and keyword research, and good SEO, you will be getting traffic organically. And buying traffic, other than something targeted like PPC, won't convert to sales.

As others have mentioned, just keep targeting long-tailed keywords in your niche. and building backlinks.

Buying junk traffic won't get you any buyers. Sure, you'll get clicks, but that's not the essence of making money as an affiliate.

It's learning how to presell or warm up potential buyers with articles, product reviews, email messages, tips and other useful information.

You don't need PPC nor SEO. Diversity often win however.
