Squidoo vs Hubpages

Hello folks,
I just wanted to pick your brains again and ask if anyone has an opinion on which of these web 2.0 proerties are better. I predominantly use squidoo, however I seem to be finding more and more hubpages taking the number one positions on long tail key words. Does this mean that hubpages are more in favour with google than squidoo, or are there other pertinent reasons?
Any ideas, thoughts or experiences would be welcomed.
