Bing & Yahoo Traffic, None on Google

I have an aged domain which I started adding content to about 3 months ago.

Though I'm receiving a fair amount of Bing and Yahoo traffic, I'm getting next to none from Google.

My site follows every last SEO rule, my articles have excellent content, and I have a few backlinks to each article.

Is this just a waiting game to get Google traffic? I haven't experienced such low Google traffic on any other site previously.

Let's start with the basics: Has the site been indexed by google?

It's been indexed for nearly 3 years. Up until recently, it did not have much content, nor any SEM attributable to the site.

WebMaster Tools indicates 565 pages indexed, or at least recognized within the sitemap (these pages include hard-coded lang translation pages, separated into respective folders, no dupe content issues); I have around 150 main articles posted.

I do get a bit of traffic from Google, so I know at least a few of the pages are coming up, somewhere, but its minimal.

My site has proper structure, I use WCS for all content @ around 1,000-words/article, no blackhat SEM methods, mainly article marketing and social buzz.

The niche is somewhat competitive, but boy, I thought I would have had some penetration by now.

Are you the original owner of the domain? If you bought it, it's possible that the previous owner did something to give the domain some "bad juju" with Google and you'll have to regain trust again.

The simpler answer is that the site simply isn't as optimized as you think, or the market is too competitive.

It's really impossible to say without seeing the site, but I understand if you're not comfortable revealing it. You could PM me the site and some target keywords if you want (I have 200+ site of my own, I'm not looking to steal your keywords or anything).

Bing & Yahoo are (to me at least) easy. Google is the 800# gorilla. You just have to keep going, it will be worth it.

I have the opposite issue. I'm all over Google (which makes me happy!) but I'm buried, if listed at all, on Yahoo and Bing. Dunno why.

First you have to check is google index of your site? If not then try to do it right now and then follow their instruction.

Build backlinks targeting some key words. That should bring you google traffic.

If you're site has already been indexed by Google, you should wait few more days and see if Google indexed your backlinks.
