This is EXACTLY how I find Profitable Keywords for my Niche Sites

Whether you are new to Internet Marketing, or you have been at it for a while, having a system to find the best keywords is one of the critical success factors in this business.

In this video, I show you exactly how I use the Google traffic estimator to do my keyword research to find keywords around which to build profitable niche sites. In this video, I show you:
  • What settings I use in the Google keyword tool and why they are important
  • I show you how to determine the level of competition for a given keyword, as well as give you my rule of thumb for the upper limit of competing sites
  • I show you how to analyze the strength of the competition, and
  • I show you a super fast way to find out if an exact match domain is available.
Isn't that a Lot of Work?

At this point, you might be thinking, Trent, that looks like a lot of work to find just one keyword! And yes, it is a lot of work, however, consider the following idea: What if you could find one keyword to build just one niche site a day and that site ended up earning you just $100 per month?

What does that look like after working 5 days a week for a year? Well, you'd have about 200 sites and you'd be earning $20,000 a month! Wouldn't that be worth all that keyword research?

You bet it would!

How Can I Accomplish this in Less Time?

Most new marketers have a day job. Few can devote a full-time effort to building sites, at least initially. I am full time, however, even I don't want to spend all day every day doing such repetitive work. (although I WOULD do it if there was no other option because the rewards are so worth it)

The "secret" to getting this done with very little of your time (but with some of your money) is to hire a virtual assistant to do this for you.

I Only Invest 30 Minutes of My Time Per Niche Site

The key to scaling up your niche site business is to outsource every little thing. In other words, you want to have a VA build your entire website and then deliver it to you ready to go. The only thing I do is to provide them with a few seed keywords. (I explain what a seed keyword is in the video above)
Now how many sites can you build a day? How about, as many as you want!

Consider the following facts:
  • It takes about 90 minutes to find a viable keyword, sometimes less, sometimes more
  • It takes about an hour to pick a theme, decide on your LSI keywords, configure your link structure, and install a few plugins, etc...
  • It takes about 2 hours to write 3-5 blog posts

What this means is that a niche site can be constructed in about 4.5 hours. Heck even if it takes a full 8 hours, its still so very worth it!

Why Building Niche Sites is So Profitable

I pay my VA $3/hour. She lives in the Philippines and that is the going rate for this type of work. So, even if she took a full 8 hours to build a site for me, my total investment is $3/hour X 8 hours = $24 + $10 for the domain = $34 per niche site. Yes, that's right, about $34 per site; however, just to be conservative, lets use a nice round number of $50 per site.

My goal for each niche site is to have it make a profit of $100/month. That's it, just a "measly" hundred bucks a month. That's $1200 per year. If a site costs me $50 to make and returns even $1,000 over the next 12 months, that is a massive rate of return on my invested capital. I don't know about you, but I can't think of anything else that offers so little risk with such a huge rate of return. Real Estate? Stock Market? Not a chance in hell!

Don't have, or don't want to invest any capital? Do it yourself, or just stay working for someone else. I can't help you with adjusting your mindset for putting your money at risk. What I can tell you is that you will not likely succeed in business if you aren't will to take a risk.

In other words, wealth starts from the shoulders up.

If you didn't understand what I just wrote, you might want to read those last two paragraphs again.

So How Do YOU Get Started?

I want to make this as easy for you as possible so here is all you need to do. Just join my mailing list and I will send you the exact set of extremely detailed instructions that I use when I hire a VA to build sites for me. I am willing to provide you with this for no charge and only ask one thing in return. Tell people about this blog post. Share it, tweet it, email it...whatever. I just want to spread the word to as many people as I can so that more people will have a chance to change their lives for the better. (disclaimer: there will be affiliate links in the report, so if you click them and buy anything, I will make money. However, with that said, aside from a hosting account, you don't NEED to buy anything to succeed. The tools I use just make it easier and faster to succeed)

I look forward to hearing your feedback, so please comment!

Great video, but one flaw. When you looked for the tips on how to get pregnant keyword phrase in quotes, it pulled up more than 500,000 and you said it was "too much."

Right there is a waste of a potentially profitable keyword. The leading sites has less than 300 links to the page, completely doable.

And check out #10, it's a .info with only 18 links to the home page and 13 links to that page.

I'm not dissing your advice, but I am just wanting to ensure that people do not fall for the number of sites in quotes as any parameter.

It's the top 10 that count, and with a little work most often they can be worked into your own rankings.

Andy's right. In fact I only look at the top 4 rankings - their PR, their number of links, keyword phrase in their domain and title, etc, to see if I can outrank the Page 1 contenders. (apparently the #1 spot on the first page of Google gets an average of 40% of the search. This will vary depending on things like how much of a "buying" keyword it is and whether there are videos in the search results listing, etc)
I actually NEVER look at the number of competing pages because it never matters. If there were only 12 competing pages but they all had 40,000 .edu backlinks each, I wouldn't attempt it. Only the top 4 positions on Google page #1 matter to me, so that's all I look at.

        Sue,

I'm with you on your comment as well. Number of competing sites isn't the ONLY attribute, however, for a newbie that doesn't want to spend $$ on keyword research software, fewer competing sites is generally an indication of an easier battle to win. There are exceptions, of course, as you pointed out.

It is great to have a site making $100 a month profit and 200 bringing in $20,000 per months. But what about the SEO side of things? Sites are not going to rank without backlinks.

At the end of the day, people might disagree but to last the test of time, it is no point bothering with profile backlinks, scrapebox, blog commenting, spinning and submission to 1000+ of directories and the like. On the first page of Google, you do not see bonafide companies and individuals use these 'spam' techniques on their money sites. The 'worst' type of links they get is with web 2.0 with the likes of blogger.

Decent backlinks are going to cost money or at least getting a blog infrastracture network together is going cost $$$.

But still a great outline of a system to make money.

      Hy Andy,

WF isn't sending my an email when someone is replying to me thread(s); hence my only getting to it now.

What you are saying is correct. The point of my post though was to make the least possible risk for newbies. I have sites where I've beat out 150,000 sites with over 1,000 backlinks...and I did it with a .info of all things. However, that takes a LOT more work and isn't so easy for a newbie.
