I Get Targeted Traffic , But No Clicks?

Hey ,
I Have a Website About MW3. It's quite high up in the Serps , but it keeps on staying in the same place ; and won't move. Anyway , I get around 100 Unique targeted visits a week , and growing. But Despite this , I get no clicks. I've played around with Adsense , taken many tips in to account but I still get no earning.

Can you tell me how I can improve this dismal situation I have , it's really annoying me. I have Google For search and Content Ads , in very good positions. Better than some sites in my Niche , that Are basicly Google Adsense Farms , that force you to click on an Add. *Cough* MW3f.com.

Cheers Guys/

    Hi,

If you don't have clicks is not a target traffic, if your using adwords check your keywords and try to get the right niche.

    Regards

Have you noticed that keyword price result in ZERO profit if there are no clicks? It’s cost/day (keyword price X clicks/day) that makes you rich, not keyword price itself.

Here is the list of the most PROFITABLE, not the most expensive AdSense keywords:

Keyword Cost Per Click Clicks/Day Cost/Day
    insurance $17.41 49,893.5 $868,645.81
    hotels $3.52 200,636.0 $706,238.75
    film $2.88 183,044.0 $527,166.75

First, 100 uniques a week is not that much.
Is all of your traffic coming directly from the search engines? You might want to dive a little deeper into your stats and see if it is all coming from the SE's or if you have bots and stuff hitting your site.

Do you know the bounce rate of your site? If you have a high bounce rate the users may not be staying on your site long enough to want to click an ad.

If adsense isnt working there are many other items you could possibly find to promote on your site.

If you truly have targeted search engine traffic, find out exactly what those users are wanting and give it to them.

    • How do you know you traffic is targeted? This is the key to making sales in my opinion. You can't beat targeted search engine traffic. It's people sitting at their pc with their wallets out because they have already decided that they want to buy something....

60% is pretty bad. I would figure why: if its due to low site loading times or if the person doesnt find any interest in your site.

If someone if searching for something through search engines and you dont provide it to them they will just click their back button and continue looking through other search results.

Another thing (I cant say for sure) are your adsense ads something the user might want to buy or click on. If they are searching for tips and tricks for mw3 and the ads are displaying buy mw3 they will not click because they already own the game.

Its really hard to give advice without knowing what you are offering on the site, what keywords are sending the traffic, etc....

Do the users have a problem and need to solve it? If they are looking for a strategy guide find one and offer to sell it to them. If they are looking for tips and tricks or cheats, give them a few on the website and try to upsell them an anwser to what they are looking for.

Lol, you have 45 CPA+Infolinks+Adsense Ads on a single page (hxxp://mw3f.com/)!

Most traffic is smart enough to leave a page that is all Ads! Looks like an old Ad farm to me, I just wanted to leave...

In his first post it seems like he is talking about a competetor and not his own site.

Remove the header image, leave the text & <center>.

Add a 728x15 (text) Ad block just below the header text, leave the new Adsense block the default color to start with.

      <center> the new adsense code.

      Example:
      <center>
      728x15 Adsense code here
      </center>

      Something like this,

You need a link to your Privacy Policy in your footer ASAP!

I would also remove that Adsense block from your contact page.

The reason I said put a link to your Privacy Policy in your footer is, most sites footer content (links, etc...) show on every single page of your site. This makes it easier to follow the Adsense TOS rules.

BTW, you only get one chance with Google Adsense, they will ban you for small things like this If/when they find out about it. They will not ask you to fix it, they will simply ban you & your account earnings will be lost doesn't matter If your account has $1 or $1-million, they will take it all back & tell you tough luck.

          Just a heads up,

Because you already agreed to have a Privacy Policy when you first signed up for Adsense. You did read the TOS, right?

You must have and abide by an appropriate privacy policy that clearly discloses that third parties may be placing and reading cookies on your users’ browser, or using web beacons to collect information, in the course of ads being served on your website. Your privacy policy should also include information about user options for cookie management.

To better answer your question, Google will place a cookie on anyones browser that visits your Adsense pages. They make you have a privacy policy to cover their own arse.

Where are the ads? I didn't see anything to click on?!

I noticed a very small strip of ad links but no actual blocks of Adsense ads on any of the pages?

EDIT: Ah, never mind... after a more thorough check I noticed the long vertical image ad on the right hand side. I completely overlooked it - it just doesn't even look like something to click on. This may be why you are not getting clicks because I honestly did not even notice it at all. Banner blindness I guess.

Setup at least one Adsense Ad like the screenshot in comment #16 above.

I have a couple of my sites setup the same way (text only title & Adsense below), has a good CTR.

Your site still has the banner + the new Adsense Ad is almost below the fold, needs to be at the top just below the header text.
