Important information about SEO, Backlinking and Mobile Optimized Linkbuilding

WARRIORS! --- just made a reply to another thread that i thought everyone should see soooo im reposting it here with some commentary.

Its regarding mobile SEO and how it matters to your backlinking and linkbuilding strategies:

Here is my post:
Now everyone start thinking about mobile optimized backlinks. Google and other major search engines are have been updating their spiders to detect mobile optimized stylesheets and versions of desktop sites.

They are valueing mobile optimized backlinks higher for mobile google searchers.

For instance, if you search "cows" on google desktop site you get x, y and z top 3 results. If you search "cows" on googles mobile search you get x, a and b top 3 results. because a and b have higher SEO ranks in a mobile search because those results have more mobile optimized backlinks...

This is just one way google and others can improve the experience of their mobile searchers... You have a higher chance of hopping from one mobile optimzed website to another when you use google because of this algorithm change.

Consider this when backlinking and link building
So keep that in mind. As more and more people are using their phones to search for information and PAY FOR STUFF... you should consider asking your linkbuilding tool makers etc. if they are linking to mobile optimized sites...

And ... as always you can build mobile pages quickly and easily with our platform bla bla blah gotta get a little promo in there haha

    Hi Bonn,

    Mobile should be based on regular seo practices for mobile sites:

    - Short bursts of information.
    - Very few ads
    - Only 1-2 links per page
    - As much localized content as possible, road, street address, zip etc

    In general this works well. A fully mobilized version of your website would benefit tremendously if every page on your site had its own mobile version, linking back to your main mobile site.
