So, I've got this blog with adsense ads. There have been more than 7,000 page views and I still don't have $1 in adsense? At this rate it'll be 150 years before I see my first adsense check. Is this typical?

How many clicks did you get from those 7K page views?

    What's the website about?

Strange. Your website might have been hacked and showing other people's adsense ads.. LOL..

No, 7k page views & zero CTR is not normal, at least not for any site I've ever dealt with.

AdSense has never worked for me. The same $10 has sat in that account for two years. LOL

Adsense works very well for me and I can't think why it doesn't for others. Put your ads in a prominent position and write well and regularly. It doesn't get much easier imho.

Since I lost my domain and google apps info earlier today, the data is gone from my blogger dashboard. But I just logged into my adsense account and see a balance of $18.91. The monthly totals are between a penny and $3.52. That's actually more than I was thinking it would be. I don't know my way around adsense, and can't find the numbers for the clicks, but last month the big, ugly adsense ads made me 41 cents and a tiny mini banner to an affiliate site made me $98. Adsense doesn't seem to be pulling its weight.

The website is about self improvement.

Are your ads prominently displayed and relevant to your content? Did you blend them into your content or colour them so that they stand out? Where does your traffic come from?

Having asked all that, I could still see you earning way more than $1.00 from 7000 page views, even with the worst laid out site and the most irrelevant ads. So something sounds a little off.

    It's not typical,

Some sites perform well other perform not so well

    i.e 7 visitors a day and $10 a day on average and 102 visitors and 33cents

don't confuse page views with actual visitors, you could have had 7000 spiders or bots come and visit your site.

Step 1 put analytics on your site and get proper stats.

step 2 work out what keywords are ranking and which aren't.. get them all ranking or at least as many as possible.

step 3 test your ad positions (only do this when you have decent traffic or the results aren't reliable) you are trying to get to a CTR of a minimum of 10%

Step 4 stop using blogger and start building a business by using your own sites.
