Commenting in articles is also a good way of getting backlinks and traffic. But you should be careful in leaving comments to articles. Spammy comments are useless.

I wonder about that - most of them seem to have moderated comments, or comments turned off, but if you can do it (and resist the urge to just spam) then... *shrug* A link is a link.

Unfortunately most article directories are heavily moderated, have comments turned off, don't allow links, etc.

Not talking about spam but relevant comments that one can also get a link with if approved. Just wondering what they are worth if anything

Update-so left a few comments on a few articles. All were accepted no problem. They were relevant comments btw. Still not sure what kind of weight they may have as far as links go.

You will always find blogs in any niche!Just do an advanced google search to search for certain terms!

Def a good idea...been doing that along with forums etc. Funny at first I was like, "Man! I'm gonna post on all these things" now i am finding that quality is really important. Being a lot more selective now, getting more links while still adding to the discussions with relevancy(hopefully )
