Less Tangible Product Marketing in the Content Network

I have been advertising a campaign exclusively in the Content Network for about 2 months. I have refined and tested my ads, keywords, placements, exclusions, and landing pages a number of times yet I am still having trouble getting conversions.

I know that some of this problem is because the item I am selling (web design) does not attract people who are very far into the buying cycle. It also does not generate nearly as much traffic or click-throughs as other items so the data is harder to come by.

It seems that most of the tips and discussion that you find are referring to people who are resellers or affiliate marketers. Unfortunately most of this information is not terribly useful for the campaigns I am running and often refer to statistical benchmarks that are simply unfeasible for my campaign.

Do you guys know of a forum/site that provides more insight into the content network?

Of course I know all of the information is subjective but it would be nice to hear from people who are marketing these less tangible and more expensive products.

Also, I am not at liberty to stop marketing in the Content Network and move to the Search Network. The current choice of Content Network only was chosen by my boss and is therefore not flexible.

I appreciate any input you have.
