Google does not divide the juice of the PR into the nofollow links but if you get a link on the page which is getting traffic than surely nofollow link can be a good source of traffic and Google count the nofollow link as a backlink but it will not help yu to increase the PR of the page neither it will help you in the SERP results

I thought you were on the right track here but it took a wrong turn.

Nofollow links can help rankings, it has been proven time and time again. Do follow links are better than nofollow of course but if you have 100% do follow it will be hard to get to #1.

Nofollow is google way of saying "who's building links naturally and who is trying to game the rankings".

My advice is to build around 80% do follow links and 20% nofollow, always works for me.

      Cheers
      Dave

If you are not getting traffic, then there isn't much of a benefit for your rankings in Google.

No, still there is a speech that Search Engines might follow the "no-follow" links from authority sites. These type of links from relevant sites will get you the huge amount of traffic.

For do follow links, when search engine crawlers encounter a links against blogs, which seem like spamming links, the websites ranking gets affected. bit in the case of nofollow link it is in this scenario that no-follow links are beneficial to website owners becasue crawler don't crawl it and site's ranking don't get affected by spammed links. No follow links are very good to receive traffic.

It's more like an advertisement, if people interested in your no follow link, they will click on it, and you get traffic.

I really don't care about nofollow or dofollow links. As long as these are links, Google will count them as backlinks.

I don't care about PR either. As long as quality websites link to your site, then your website deserves whatever Google thinks your website is worth.

Do you think you are actually penalized for working on dofollow and not nofollow?
When I started out I accidentally found all nofollow! I am now having to reverse that and as of lately......forgot to sprinkle in some nofollow! anyway, to make a long story short as of yesterday I slipped back five spots.....hhhmmm
