Got you to click! Happy April fools day :-)

Can you even imagine the terms of service issues with 3D adsense?

"The ad depth dimensions must not exceed more than 200 virtual feet. Objects in the virtual space cannot be placed within 3 feet of the ad links...."

"Avatars within the ad space may not click on ads to simulate & induce desired behavior... unless they have the official authorized 'Sponsored Avatar' label on their person.."

:-)

Don't sweat it Tom. It could happen!

I just had a chance to check out the new Nintendo DS 3D. It won't be long before those displays are integrated into laptops as a widely adopted option.

The 3D slider control on the side of the DS-3D allows real-time depth adjustment while you are viewing the screen. That in itself is pretty incredible and, if integrated into a laptop display, would allow for a web page to go from 2d to 3d with the slide of a button.

Pretty cool stuff is on the horizon with this technology. Why not ads?

    Haha.

On a more serious note, though, the upcoming launch of scratch-and-sniff "Google AdScent" ads - catering, of course, to the lucrative perfume industry - looks to be an interesting thing, indeed.
