On page optimization is when your content/articles are SEO. In other words, you research your content keywords as much as your niche keywords and optimize the site to reflect the visitors you're trying to draw. You can work your keywords in well (I try to do two per post) and don't make your articles suck by trying to force your keywords into it. Get the page/post indexed (I use Digg for that) and your ranking will improve with good content. Make sure you optimize your permalinks, title and header tags with your keywords as well.

I call bogus post on the OP. Your profile includes a link to a SEO company.

Why would a member selling SEO services ask what on-page optimization is? That would be like a plumber asking what a pipe wrench is?

It appears that this is just a thread started to spam this forum.

There are many aspects of on site seo. I learned myself by reading a ton of articles on google and then trying out each element to see how it worked for me. The biggest thing I figured out was H1 tags and placing my keyword in them! Second was keyword density! I had no clue in the beginning but with so many great articles out there you will do just fine!

    • In a nutshell:
You want to try to get your main keyword in the title, url, header, description and then sprinkle it around the page at roughly a 2% density. Try to get your keywords in your alt tags as well (for pictures) and set your outbound links to be no follow. Lastly, try to get your main keyword in bold, underlined and italic. Make sure your content is high quality, and ideally around 800+ words per page.
That should give you a great SEO base. From then on, it's all down to the off-page stuff.

On-page optimization is the preparation of the actual pages of the website. Search engines are trying to provide their users with the most relevant sites for any particular query.

You know what this thread is called? LOL it's called posting with xrumer or even manually... than reposting to the topic with a different new account with a signature. Then it isn't so obvious that people shout spam to the sig from a 1 post member.

          Actually, no.

Basic generic questions are too esoteric and dilute the real value of this forum. The only purpose these spam threads serve is to provide an opportunity to get you your signature link in on a nonsense thread. We might as well be asking "what is you favorite color"?
