Correct use of canonical?

Tell me something, I'm pretty scared that I have done something wrong. I read that All in One SEO isn't good for the canonical tags.
I have added a plugin called Canonical URLS which says "Adds rel="canonical" URL's of your choice to the <head> of your posts and pages".... is this automatic or do I have to fill something in here?

Or is there nothing to worry about with All in One SEO?

In my experience there is nothing at all wrong with just using All In One SEO pack.

I have never had any problem with All In One SEO, either.
Just check the canonical box and make sure you set your preferred URL at WP settings.

Go with Platinum SEO over AIO.

More control over individual posts, and automatic 301 redirects for permalink changes.

I agree. This is much the best option, I've been using it on multiple blogs for several years.

Hello. Thanks for the reply. OK can you tell me this: the htxp:// version of the site is indexed in google. Yet, the htxp:// ww. or ww. version of the site is not indexed in google.

But all my internal links are specified via the htxp:// ww. prefix!

So what work can I do on the canonical front, should I specify all the internal links with htxp:// instead of htxp ://ww ?

Thanks for any help, I am rather confused on the issue.

  • Select your desired form www or not. Get a Google webmaster account and TELL Google about your sites.

You can also set up a .htacess file to redirect to your desired format.

    The quit worrying about it.

All in One SEO is fine.

And remember to test your links to make sure things are working properly.
