What 'good' will do a 500 direct visits a day?

I wounder, If you can get a 500-1000 direct visits a day by a traffic exchange or something smiler, what good will come out of it?
some say that the website rank will go up, but that's are direct visits and not even from back links....

    You won't get backlinks from doing traffic exchanges. What you will get is lots of eyeballs (people looking). The problem is that many of them will only be viewing your page for 30 seconds (give or take depending on the traffic exchange program). The other problem is that these people are not always looking for your product.

    If you create a VERY short but enticing squeeze page you might be able to obtain subscribers to your list by giving the traffic surfers something of value that appeals to them. I have had some limited success by creating a link on the short page which states clearly that it will open in a new tab/window so they can continue surfing and finish signing up later. You don't want to be an obstacle to them in their current task which is to surf pages.

    Are you talking about refering websites? Direct visits means that someone types in your ulr and presses enter. Getting visitors from relevant refering sites can make you some money for sure.
