Honestly. No BS. Is anyone really making decent money with PPC marketing using Adwords, MSN/Yahoo or any of the other big engines?
How about Facebook?

I started out, about 8 years ago making from $1000 to $1500 profit a month just using adwords. ( I only do this parttime ). Keyword costs skyrocketed, competition got fierce, merchants stopped letting affiliates use PPC to promote their products, quality score came along, etc. etc.. Then I was booted off. I guess as frustration set in I tried some shady campaigns.

I've never really been very successful using MSN/Yahoo. And I couldn't get anything to work on Facebook and the keyword costs have gotten out of site!

Plus I've migrated to selling real products and services not the stuff on the CPA networks which in my opinion is mostly garbage - dating offers, email submits, ringtones, trial weightloss products, etc.

Ok, I'll stop the rant now. Thanks.

      Hi cjshu99,

If you are asking if PPC is a viable form of advertising, then the answer is not only yes, it may in fact be the most viable form of advertising today. To be clear, it is method of advertising, not a money making scheme. Currently nearly all of Google's financial profits come from their PPC platform and they probably couldn't exist if PPC wasn't a viable ad platform.

I hear many people put down PPC advertising, when in actuality it is their business model that failed not the advertising channel. PPC will allow you to get where you are going faster than most ad methods, so if you have a failing business model it will allow you to fail that much faster. However, if you have a winning business model you can use PPC to accelerate that success.

Having said that, I will caution newbies to the PPC advertising platform that this is perhaps the most sophisticated type of advertising in existence and has a steep learning curve. Don't think that running a PPC campaign is like pushing buttons on an ATM machine, money doesn't just come out like magic. You must develop a proper strategy and execute it with precision because you are competing on a level playing field with the big boys.

PPC advertising needs knowledge specially nowadays that advertisers are smarter and very more than before. You should exactly know what you should advertise. If you advertise the products that people are buying using other methods instead of ads, you will be failed.

  • Of course not. Google is pulling in Billions each year from ____________ You fill in the blank.

Then think about it. If Adwords didn't work how could Google Earn Billions?

I guess what I meant to say was are affiliate marketers making money in PPC.

Of course the big merchants are on Google and MSN throwing lots of dollars at PPC ads. Thats what it seemed Google was after all along.

It's just that it seems many so-called experts who made tons of money on PPC start selling their services and ebooks to others on how they too can get rich on PPC. I mean, are they even still doing PPC?

      Hmmm...

Not all merchants don't let the affiliates to use ppc.
Example in the web hosting niche you can advertise to adwords.
