I Did It. I Think I Finally Cracked Google.

I'd like to start off by saying, this post is not meant to boast, it is meant to inspire those who are still trying to get their first few sales and get the ball rolling. Also, to give thanks to the many warriors who have been a tremendous help to me along the way.

I joined this forum about 8 months ago. At that time i was making a few sales here and there, but I was definitely not where i wanted to be. My biggest problem was that I was spending way too much time looking for that next BIg IM release that would give me the secret to making a full time income online. I would get ready to do some work, and 6 hours later I would still find myself just reading through products/ posts/ articles, getting no work done at all.

Thanks to this forum, and some extremely helpful warriors, I realized that I had to start taking more action. I felt I already knew enough about IM, to at least start scaling things up a little.

My next biggest hurdle(I felt) was SEO. I knew some basics, but thats about it. Every time I did a little research on Google, all I saw was competition. I thought there as no way for me to compete, so I just stuck with article marketing and occasionally PPC(not with Google). With that i was getting some traffic, some sales, but nothing great.

About a month ago or so I decided to create 4 sites, do some on site SEO, get some high PR backlinks,(still working on this) and try my luck getting on page 1 of Google. "The Holy Grail."

Within 4 days, one site was already on page 5, another on page 4, another on 6, and the last one page 8. One week later, I had 2 sites on Page 1(one in second position for long tail keyword 3700 exact match searches per month), one on page 2, and the other on page 4. I was amazed. This was something I Never thought i was able to do. I still can't believe the results.

So I guess what I am trying to say is stop, reading and browsing, and Take Action. You will never know what you are able to accomplish unless you try.

Thanks to all the Warriors who have helped me.

Never give up,

Justin

I apologize for posting a possible "deceptive" title. As i state later in this thread, I was I little excited to find 2 of my sites on page 1. Something I thought I would never accomplish.

Also app business is better easier and does not requires any marketing efforts at all!

    Congratulations!

Sounds like all of your hard work and dedication has paid off.

SEO is such a strange thing. When you are just learning it, it seems like such a big mystery -- plus, all the different tidbits of information just meddle everything up as you try to learn.

But, when you finally figure it out -- when it infinitely "clicks" in your head -- SEO is such a beautiful thing. And so easy, to boot.

Glad you figured it out. Hopefully it serves as inspiration to others.

Yep cracking Google boils down to building a site, optimizing it and building effective backlinks to it.

Great! SEO takes a ton of time and patience, but I think it's so rewording when you finally see your site in the top 3. Keep trying to get those high PR links! And don't forget to make sure you are capturing leads

I didn't find it deceptive, it depends on your definition of "cracking google", your definition is obviously different than the ops.

Why so many replies regarding the title of the thread?? Nothing wrong with the title, it can mean different things to different people.

                • Well way to go. Glad to see another beginner get his beak wet.

It's a start, and now you will learn more.

Keep adding lots of strong content and you will begin to see your rankings stabilize. My opinion though is not to go very hard on the linking in the beginning. Google will know your domain is new, and not expecting you to have very many inbound links.

Maybe just focus on good content for awhile now.

That's how I see it anyway, and hope that helps you a little.

    Congrats!!

    The keys are really:
    1. Focus
    2. Perseverance
    3. Patience
(This implies you have a strategy of course)

These are a LOT easier when you know that your strategy works, but when you are new, you have to ride on faith for some time and that can be hard. Thus, many fall off just before the success is streaming through that open door....cuz they are off to the next great thing, and the door is now shut.

Seems like now that you have had your successes, more will follow. Just remember, this business is a long term thing. Short term ups and downs are not only irrelevant but can zap the energy.

Best to you and a continued successful future

Good show dude, it's a nice feeling. Remember that new sites can get a little honeymoon on page one before they start dancing around all over, even sinking to the depths for days or weeks. But the fact they have BEEN to page one means you just need to keep doing what you are doing and they will gradually stabilise and creep back up. Hopefully it won't be necessary, but just thought I'd mention that scenario as it's pretty common.
